Council of the Dragon
El Presidente de Crum. He’s the boss man, the mover and shaker. California native, his true home is now in “The Black Hole,” located on the first floor of Crum. It is from the loveseat of this spot that he watches over our commons with wisdom and vigor. Ben is easy going and good natured in every sense of both of those words. One conversation with him and you’ll understand why it is he’s president, and why Crum is such a great place to live.
The wild calls to Bela Lacayo and she answers. She’s a sophomore mechanical engineer and currently works with SMU outdoor adventures. She’s spent some time as an equestrian rider and she’s a certified scuba diver. With her time in college, she wants grow as an individual. Next time you feel the call of the wild, find Bela. She’ll show you the way to great adventures and trails unknown.
Olivia Rose McGrath hails from Orange County, California. She’s an internationally minded person with designs on becoming fluent in at least two languages and traveling outside the U.S. of A. before she graduates in 2018. Olivia is currently on the pre- business track with a major in markets and cultures and a major in world languages. One of her favorite places to go in Dallas is the zoo, where she gets her fill of cute animal interaction (especially emus, you should ask her how much she loves them. She’ll tell you.)
Ashley Marshall is a sophomore majoring in management science and finance. She’s got one of the warmest personalities you’ll come across in Crum. She loves dogs, Switzerland, London, traveling, hiking, and making friends. She rises from Phoenix, Arizona (get it?), and makes the most of her time at SMU by making lifelong friendships and seeking impactful outlets outside of school. She’s been to eight different countries and can’t resist a good vista. You can probably find her at the top of Binkley garage enjoying the view of Dallas from the Hilltop.
Commissioner Gordon, also known as the Master of Coin, is Crum’s treasurer. He’ s about as driven as they come. When he decides to do something, he does it. He made the decision to come to SMU just three weeks before classes started, he’s backpacked Europe by himself, and is currently in pursuit of a marketing degree, in which he hopes to graduate with honors.
The Fourth of July loves Callie because she is a firecracker. She also holds the title of “designated mom-friend,” earned by merit of her fierce loyalty and care. Everything she owns is pink and everything she says is spoken straight from her heart. She is currently majoring in French and fashion media. Ooh la la. Callie has lived in four states and just recently moved to Texas. Once upon a time, Callie accidentally flashed the 9th arrondissement of Paris in Marilyn Monroe fashion when she walked over a vent. Unfazed, she ate dinner at the Eiffel tower that night. That’s Callie to a T. She embraces the awkward and takes life in stride.
