The unofficial hipster of Crum, Jeremiah “Jerbear” Jensen’s biggest accomplishment is being able to make a mean cup of coffee. But really, this Pflugerville, Texas native is one of the few Crumrades who have made it to senior status, and it shows through his ever- present wisdom. As a journalism major, Jeremiah loves people and writing about them. Music also serves as one of his many creative outlets, so you’ll most likely find him playing guitar in his room when he’s not out looking for the next big scoop. Oh, and he also plays drums in a band, Blue Apollo. Look ‘em up!
When you need a sarcastic joke or terrible pun, Darren Poon is your guy. He’s a 3rd year sophomore majoring in underwater pyrotechnics with a minor in stale humor, which is another way of saying he’s a junior finance major with a minor in statistics. His favorite pastime is cheering on SMU at a basketball game (and the occasional football game). He’s a super cool business guy who does super cool business things, like manage a non-profit with a $60,000 portfolio, serving as the vice-chairman of the Student Senate’s Investment Committee, and messing around with the Bloomberg Terminals at the Kitt Trading Center in Cox.
Alyssa Rahman is the cyber security expert of Crum--but don’t worry, she won’t hack into your computer. She’s a senior majoring in computer science (on the security track) whose favorite pastime is naps and/or hanging out with random Crum people. Change your passwords frequently and she’ll be happy. Give her chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and she’ll be even more happy, as it is one of her primary food groups.
Meet Caroline Brunner! She’s a sophomore mechanical engineering major from Belle Harbor, New York whose passions include small animals and musicals. During her time here at SMU, she hopes to figure out the whole career thing while also making a difference in the lives of others. Ever the involved one, Caroline is a member of the Society of Women Engineers and Lyle Ambassadors. When she’s not doing that, you can find her hanging out with friends or trying to finally beat Pokemon. Feed her cookies and discuss the complexities of High School Musical with her and you’re in.
The longboard king of Crum. He can be found rolling down hallways, playing FIFA better than you can, and bringing laughter everywhere he goes. Grant knows no strangers and loves to build community in and around Crum. He loves stuffed animals, Mac’s place, and SMU. If you’re looking for fun, look no further, for fun is Hibbard and Hibbard is fun.
She’s a 19-year-old, red-headed marvel from Murphy, Texas, majoring in journalism with minors in art history and sociology. Her favorite thing about herself is her ability to make others laugh. She’s always looking to lighten the mood and make life less hard for people. She likes to be as open as possible which makes her really approachable. During her time in college, her chief aspiration is to be a difference maker in others’ lives. She is a music aficionado (seriously, she knows all the bands you don’t know), and a lover of the visual arts.
Whenever you need a good laugh, look no further than Dalton Fowler. A natural comedian and actor extraordinaire, Dalton prides himself in his ability to make anyone happy with his quick quips. He is a senior BFA acting major from Simpsonville, South Carolina who has never missed a day of school (from 1st to 12th grade, that is). When he’s not messing around with other theatre majors in Meadows, Dalton loves to play guitar and write plays. He is also one of the most enthusiastic competitors when it comes to the beginning-of- the-year Water Balloon Extravaganza with our favorite frenemies, Armstrong Commons!
Lindsay Grossman is the awesome senior of the penthouse floor RA who’s looking for adventure! When she’s not studying to be a world-changer with her international studies major/human rights and comparative politics minors, you can find her exploring Dallas or traveling around the globe. This Cali born girl is one of the most chill people you’ll run into on campus, but don’t mistake her for a hippie! In her spare time she leads the physical training for the Army ROTC program and is training to be a Second Lieutenant after graduation.
